Obituary for Julie (Cayou) Durbin Julie Durbin 80, of Waukegan passed away peacefully on September 1, 2018. She was born on September 30, 1937 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Arthur and Alice Cayou. She graduated from Stanbrook Hall in Duluth, Minnesota.

Julie married Bob the love of her life in 1957 and they had three sons still residing in the area. She served on the board at the Waukegan Public Library and was also on the Women’s board of Lamb’s Farm. Julie retired from the Waukegan Public School system where she worked for over twenty years.

She was a long-time member of St. Anastasia Parish and was involved with the Women’s Club. Julie was an avid reader and loved to share her books with fellow readers. She loved get togethers with her family and her friends “the secrets” whenever she could.

Julie was a great mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Thomas. She was also proceeded by her husband Robert in 2015.

She is survived by her children John (Cheryl), Doug (Judy) and Tom. Grandchildren Allison (Daniel) Zabrowski, Lauren (Art) Brzezicki, Nick (Heather) Durbin, Jenna (George) Kallianis, Jessica and Andrea Durbin. Great Grandchildren; Kayla, Nicholas, Bailey, Constantine, Lainey, Annica, Patrick, Juliana and Nora.

She is also survived by her sisters Ginny, Angela, Andrea and brother Jim. Friends may visit with the family on Monday September 10th from 5-8 PM at Peterson & Patch Funeral Home, 408 N. Sheridan Road in Waukegan. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 11th at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 624 Douglas Avenue, Waukegan.

Interment will be at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lambs Farm where her son Tom resides, Attn: Development Department 14245 W. Rockland Road Libertyville, IL 60048. Arrangements are under the direction of Peterson & Patch Funeral Home.
