Obituary for Marie Sargisian Marie (nee Vartanian) Sargisian, 95, of Waukegan passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at her home. She was born August 4, 1923 in Armenia and came to Waukegan in 1958. Marie was a longtime and active member of St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church in Waukegan.

She retired in 1997 from the Dunkin Donuts on Grand Ave. in Waukegan after 30 years of service. Marie is survived by her son, Paul Dachdjian of Waukegan; daughter, Mary (Charles) Derrow of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Brian Charles Derrow of Kenosha, Kara Marie Derrow of St. Louis; extended family in the United States, Europe and Armenia and by many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tewos “Ted” Sargisian in 1998; first husband, Gregory Dachdjian and parents, Tateos and Margaret (nee Terzian) Vartanian. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church 645 S. Lewis Ave. Waukegan.

Interment will be at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church.
