Memorial Services for Ervin R. Grashorn, Jr., 53, Stanton, will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Westridge United Methodist Church. Reverend Donna Goltry will officiate. Burial will be in Stanton Cemetery.

Visitation with family will be one hour prior to service at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. He passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.

Ervin was born September 17, 1965 in Norfolk, NE to his parents Ervin, Sr. and Gladys (Mack) Grashorn. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1985. Following graduation, Ervin worked at the Nebraska State Capital cafeteria.

Then, he returned to Stanton and worked odd jobs such as mowing for city residents and as a worker for Wolff’s Trash Service. Ervin enjoyed karaoke and watching movies. He liked the annual demolition derby at the Stanton County Fair.

Ervin loved spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his sister Vilean Armentrout of Grand Island, brother Gary Grashorn of Canistota, SD, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Larry.
