Celebration of Life Services for Mike D. Zicht, 60, Norfolk, will be held at a later date. Mike passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at his home in Norfolk. Burial will be at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE at a later date.

Home for Funerals is in charge of the arrangements. Mike was born June 5, 1958 in Norfolk, Nebraska to his parents Donald Zicht and Lee Ellen (Chilcott) (Zicht) Blinn. He graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1976.

Following graduation, Mike served as a firefighter in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1983. He served on the USS Jason. Mike worked for Norfolk Iron and Metal for over 10 years.

He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was an avid Husker fan. Mike is survived by his sisters Julie (David) Hamm of Norfolk and Susan (Jerry) Prazan of Omaha, niece Nora, nephews Alex, Keith, Andy and Philip, and an aunt and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tim.
