Ervin W. Stocks, 92 of Lake Waccamaw died Friday, September 22, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born in Columbus County the son of the late Clarence Oliver Stocks and Veda Williamson Stocks. Mr. Stocks owned and operated a barber shop in Whiteville for many years.

He was a veteran having served in the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Long Stocks; a daughter, Brenda Stocks Parker, a son, Gary W. Stocks, a brother, Leroy Stocks. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Stocks Heath of Fayetteville; a brother, Clarence Dan Stocks and wife, Marilyn of Reidsville; a sister, Betty Lou Stocks Bennett of Ash; four grandchildren, Scott Stevens, Ashleigh Heath Armstrong, Aaron Ward, Audry Parker Johnson; six great grandchildren, Brenda McChesney, Joshua Stevens, Alyssa Koch, Jacklynn Koch, Jax Ward, Violet Ward.
