Ethel J. Confer, 87, of Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born Sept.

2, 1931, in Milton, she was the daughter to the late Harvey Kemrer and the former Pearl Kneiss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Confer, on Jan. 17, 1993.

They were united in marriage on July 16, 1960. Ethel retired from Sylvania after many years of service. She was a member of the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Mill Hall.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen S. Confer, of Jersey Shore; a son, Harold W. (Michele) Confer, of Mill Hall; and two grandchildren, Danisha J. Confer and William H. Confer. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, 109 Main St., Mill Hall.

The Rev. Susan Champion will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ethel’s name may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
