Ethelyn C. Tellers, age 101, of Litchfield, MN died on April 27, 2018, at Bethany Assisted Living in Litchfield, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Augustana Chapel, Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Watkins, MN. Ethelyn Catherine Tellers was born to William H. and Thekla (Wittman) Tellers on January 6, 1917 in Watkins, Minnesota. She attended St. Anthony’s Elementary School and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1933.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St. Benedict in 1937 and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 1948. She taught Physical Science in junior and senior high schools in Minnesota and Montana. The last 31 years of her career was spent in the Robbinsdale school district.

Ethelyn retired in 1979 after 41 years of teaching and moved to Litchfield. She became an active member of the Church of St. Philip, the mission group, CCW and the Catholic Aid Association. For years she was a volunteer at the Emmanuel Home.

Ethelyn enjoyed volunteering, reading, flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid Twins fan. She is survived by family members and many special friends.

Ethelyn is preceded in death by her parents William and Thekla and her brother Alvin Tellers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Ethelyn to St Philip’s building fund or Sister Edicta Zierden Scholarship Fund 37 South College Ave.
