Mrs. Quintana was born November 15, 1935, in Tepeguanes Durango Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Manuel Quintana; son, Hermelejildo Quintana; daughter, Juanita Garcia; 3 grandsons, Joel Quintana, Juan Jose Quintana & Jaime Eduardo Garcia.

She is survived by 6 sons, Melquiades Quintana, Modesto Quintana, Preciliano Quintana, Julian Quintana, Jose Manuel Quintana & Juan Manuel Quintana all of Mercedes, TX; 2 daughters, Maria Quintana & Bertha Quintana both of Mercedes, TX. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019, with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Ernest Ukwueze.

Interment will follow at Anahuac Cemetery in Edcouch, TX. Pallbearers will be Melquiades Quintana, Modesto Quintana, Preciliano Quintana, Julian Quintana, Jose Manuel Quintana & Juan Manuel Quintana. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N. Texas Ave.
