Eugene “Gene” Pilgrim September 02, 1943 – December 25, 2018 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gene Pilgrim Gaffney, SC – – Eugene “Gene” Pilgrim, 75, of 204 Burgess Road, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his residence. Born in Westville, Oklahoma, he was the husband of Sherrion Palone Pilgrim and son of the late Clara Pilgrim. He retired from Pet Dairy, loved his family, bowling, golf, billiards and woodworking.

He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Delores Overton and husband, Steve, of Hollister, Missouri, Regina Grigsby and husband, Darren and Angela Pilgrim, both of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Stormie Bross and James Derrike Grigsby and wife, Erica. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert Pilgrim and Gordon Pilgrim and a sister, Remona McMurtrey.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice Compassus, especially Katie, Lacey, Rebecca, Jordana, Bruce and Chaplain Glenn. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Chuck Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice Compassus, 212 E. Floyd Baker Boulevard, Gaffney, SC 29340.
