Eva’s Obituary Eva Belle (Marble) Woods, age 91 of Springfield, MA entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2019 at her home in Springfield, MA. Eva was born on September 11, 1927 in Athens, GA to Benjamin Marble and Mamie (Washington) Cook. Eva was the oldest of two children.

Her younger years were spent in Oglethorpe, GA, the place that she lovingly referred to as her home. She graduated from Adult Basic Education Program in 1968 in Springfield, MA. Eva retired from Albert’s Stieger’s Inc., as a housekeeper.

Eva lived her best life enjoying simple pleasures; she enjoyed talking with friends and family, listening to music (artist: James Brown), vegetable gardening, taking pictures, but what she enjoyed most was when she would visit and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons. Eva was known to everyone as a good spirited woman with a gentle kind heart and she will be truly missed by all. She was predeceased by her husband William Dupree Woods, Sr., in 1945.

Her brother; Otis (Booster), three sons; William Jr., Robert, and James. She leaves to cherish her memories her two surviving children, son; Grady and daughter; Emma, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, three nephews and two nieces, a special niece; Terrett Lowe, whom she shared laughs with and a special granddaughter; Clover King whom she also shared laughs with and scratch tickets, and host of relatives and friends.
