Evelyn George Allen, 89, of Searcy, formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away July 14, 2018 at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born March 11, 1929 in New Orleans to the late Wilbert and Louise Gordon George. Mrs. Allen was of the Catholic faith and attended Catholic school as a child while living in New Orleans.

She loved to cook, sew, and crotchet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Allen in March 29, 2004; and one sister, Dorothy George. She is survived by one son, William Allen Jr. of Searcy; and one daughter, Lynetta Allen of Chicago, Illinois; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will at a later date at Biloxi National Cemetery next to her late husband.
