Evelyn Lorraine Watson, age 88 of Viroqua died peacefully at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua on Wednesday June 13, 2018. She was born on April 21, 1930 in the Town of Sterling, Vernon County to Valdo and Lillie (Hammond) Worman. She was raised on the family dairy farm near Redmound, rural De Soto.
She attended Redmound Elementary School and graduated from Viroqua High School in 1947. On September 28, 1947 she married Loren Watson. They began their life in Viroqua, subsequently living in Janesville, Kenosha, and Jackson, WI.
From 1983 – 1989 they owned and operated the K & K Motel at Camp Douglas, WI. Making a full circle in 1989 they retired to Viroqua. They were very active in the New Hope United Methodist Church at Redmound and later joined the Viroqua United Methodist Church.
Loren and Evelyn enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, playing cards, and dancing. For several years while living in Jackson she was a member of the Sweet Adelines. Evelyn is survived by six children; Marilyn (Bob) Hereau of Baker City, OR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren on June 9, 2009, an infant son, her parents, mother and father-in-law, Tom and Mabel (Worman) Watson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Pastor Bubba Stegall officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Mound Cemetery at Retreat, rural De Soto.
