Obituary for Evelyn McCowan Evelyn McCowan Age: 72 of Sweetwater, TN Born: January 17, 1946 in Florence, SC at 502 Brunson Street went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 20 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. Preceded in death by mother Diily Gibbs Foster and Father Henry Durary Foster, Brothers: Alphonso Meyers, William (Billy) Meyers, Charles Leonard Meyers, Henry (Junebug) Foster Jr She was a faithful and dedicated member of First United Church of Christ for many years and served as a Deaconess until her death.
She worked at Sweetwater Hospital Association for many years, retired, went back to work with Dr. Ken Kozawa’s clinic at Sweetwater Hospital until her death. Survivors include her spouse: Lewis Edward McCowan Daughters: Margaret Ellison, Valeria Ellison, Annette McCroskey (Shawn) Wilson and one she considered her daughter Audra McCroskey Stevens. Step-daughter: Renee McCowan, Sons: John Fredrick Ellison, Van Eric Ellison, Stepsons: Brently McCowan, Isaac (Asha) McCowan, Gene Bradley, Sister: Ruth (James) Jenkins, Sister-in-laws: Zella Smith, Loretta Ferguson, Peggy Foster, Brother-in-laws: James (Pamela) McCowan.
A host of Grandchildren and Great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, Many dearly loved friends (To many to name)! Her Sweetwater Hospital family whom she loved and adored very much. Her First United Church of Christ Family whom she loved and adored very much as well.
