Evelyn’s Obituary Newmarket – Evelyn T. Davey, 88, of Lamprey River Park died peacefully on February 7, 2019 at Exeter Hospital. Born July 25, 1930 in Dover, she was the daughter of Louis and Clarena (Hamel) Cate. Evelyn worked at Sam Smith Shoe and Timberland Shoe Company for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Edward Davey Jr. who died in 2001 and her partner for 17 years, Verne E. Rawson Jr. who died in 2018. Survivors include her two daughters, Lorraine Elliott of Dover and Susan R. Lehrer of Kittery, ME; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews. There will be no services at this time and private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
