Obituary for Evelyn Umland Evelyn Joy Umland (nee Bunton) Age 85, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Morris Hospital with her family by her side. Born December 16, 1932 in Morris, IL to the late James and Helen (nee Ferguson) Bunton. Evelyn was employed at the Joliet Arsenal for 22 years.

She was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, enjoyed bowling and fixing jigsaw puzzles, and most of all loved spending time with her family. Surviving are one son, Toby (Amy) Umland of Leander, TX; one daughter, Carrie (Michael) Basgen; seven grandchildren; Kyle Byerley, Summer Byerley, Matthew Basgen, Lillian Basgen, Cody Davidson, Haley Davidson, and Devan Hyden; three great grandchildren, Abel Byerley, Tristen Hyden, and Wyatt Hyden; and one sister, Elizabeth Meagher of WA. Preceding her in death was her husband, Patrick John Umland, whom she married July 11, 1964 in Morris; brother, Donald Bunton; sister, Leone Sutton; and grandson, Benjamin Michael Davison.

Funeral service will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood. The visitation will be Friday, September 7, from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her name may be directed to: Open My World Therapeutic Riding Center: 1020 CR 270, Leander, TX 78641. .
