Obituary for Evertt Elvin Hollis Evertt Elvin Hollis, a resident of Sulphur was born September 2, 1935 in Purcell, OK to Luther & Thelma (Graham) Hollis. He passed away Monday July 9, 2018 at Oklahoma, City, OK at the age of 82 years 10 months and 7 days. He was married to Phyllis June (Davis) Hollis at Merced, CA on July 26, 1955.

She preceded him in death November 20, 2007. He had lived in Pauls Valley, Hughes and Bradley where he attended school, before graduating from Lindsay High School. Evertt moved to California in1951 and joined the Marine Corps where he served for 10 years during the Korean Conflict.

After his military service he returned to California where he worked at a service station before owning a propane service. He moved to Sulphur in 1990 to help his brother Carson Hollis at Sulphur Hills Golf Course. He was also preceded in death by his parents, ans a sister: Johnnie Etta Nye.
