Obituary for Felice Florio Felice �Phil� Florio passed away peacefully in Staten Island University North on July 29, 2018 in Staten Island, New York at the age of 89. Felice is survived by his wife, Marion Florio; sisters, Marie Florio and Angie Zerilli; daughters, Teresa Carmona, Patricia Florio and Michele Florio-Arnone; son-in-laws Stephen Carmona and Nicola Capuano; grandchildren, Christina, Anthony, Brittany, Dominique, Gabrielle, Erica and Vanessa. Felice was predeceased by his daughter Felicia Florio.
Felice was born on April 1, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Vito Florio and Benedetta Paccione. He graduated from Tottenville High School where he worked various jobs under his father�s direction. He married Marion, his high school sweetheart, in 1953.
After moving to Annadale in Staten Island, Felice started his own businesses: �Narrows Plumbing & Heating Corp. � and �Willow Home & Garden�. Shortly after, the couple welcomed four children into their home and later in life welcomed seven grandchildren.
Felice�s loved ones remember him as a family man who exemplified kindness, courage and strength. Felice was an accomplished master plumber who spent his pastime as an active and dedicated member of the PAL Core, Knights of Columbus and the Colonial Rifle and Pistol Club. Felice also had a deep passion for music and was a New York Yankees fanatic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Interment will be in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
