Graveside services for Felita Long, 68, of Longview, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Judson Cemetery, with Bro. Jim Crump officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2019 at McWhorter Funeral Home.
Felita was born on December 3, 1950, in Gilmer, Texas to Johnnnie Magnus Cox and Faye McClendon Cox and passed from this life on March 9, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Long; children, Amanda Fleming and her husband Shannon; Kevin Long and his wife Sandi; and Greg Long; brothers, Charles Cox and John Wayne Cox; 6 grandchildren; Tristin Fleming, Christian Fleming, Nathan Long, Lauren Long, Caitlyn Fisher-Long, and Molly Long and 2 great grandchildren; Oliver Fleming, and Elijah Fleming. Felita was a member of Olde Tyme Baptist Church in White Oak, Tx.
where she was also a Charter member. She retired from Walmart after many years of service, and became a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Rodger Cox and Larry Cox.
