OBITUARY Ferdinand “Fred” Broecker February 5, 1935 – October 1, 2018 Ferdinand “Fred” Broecker, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Feb.

5, 1935, in Aachen, Germany, to Ferdinand and Cornelia (Hartman) Broecker. Fred is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Nancy Fullilove of Terre Haute; sons, David Broecker and wife Jonie and Thomas Fullilove; daughter, Jennifer Sanders; sister, Irene Goda; special friend, Jill Waters; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Scott Broecker and Richard Sanders; and sisters, Elizabeth and Emmy.

Fred proudly served in the United States Army. He worked at Westminster Village for the last 13 years in maintenance and security. He also was a self-employed painter.

Fred was a member of the American Legion, past member of the Oberlander’s Club, and a member of Mount Aetna Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps. Fred also liked to bowl.

He will be truly missed. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
