Fernando’s Obituary Fernando Montes 68, of Las Cruces New Mexico passed away on January 18, 2019 in El Paso,Texas. Fernando was born In Isleta,Texas to Melecio and Maria Luisa Montes on May 30, 1950. Fernando was well known for always having a smile on his face and was a very kindhearted person who lived in good spirits.

He was an avid church goer within the Christian community and very loving. In his life he was strong willed while setting very high standards and a leading prime example of the ideal man. He was a caring man towards all including his loving grandchildren.

He was married to Maria Guadalupe Montes in Mesilla, New Mexico, where they celebrated 46 years together in life. While growing up he graduated from Gadsden High School and worked with his passion as a mechanic and continued work at Honeywell Inc. as a mechanical line worker for 23 years. Fernando Montes is preceded in death by Melecio Montes, Charlie Montes, and Martha Barrera.

Is Survived by Wife Maria Guadalupe Montes, His Children, Alma Carbajal and spouse, “Manny Mendez”, Fernando Montes and wife Ida Montes, Efren Montes and wife Gina Montes, and Alejandro Montes. Along with grandchildren, Maribel Cordero, Angelica Montes, Efren Michael Montes, Jonathan Montes, Angel Valles, Jasmine Valles, and Elena Montes. His Mother Maria Luisa Montes, Including Sisters, Nena Moreno, Bertha French, Carmen Mendoza, Mary Lou Soto, Margaret Rodriguez, Ramona Marquez, Dolores Meraz, Virginia Montes, Janet Montes.

Pallbearers will be, Fernando Montes, Efren Montes, Efren Michael Montes, Jonathan Montes, Miguel Mendoza, Charlie Montes, Raul Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Mario Callejas, Sammy Sauceda. Visitation for Fernando will Friday January 25, 2019. from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for family with Pastor Isaias.

The funeral service will be on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 9:00 AM at La Paz-Graham’s Funeral Home, burial will follow at Missionary Ridge Cemetery. Pastor Medina with officiate the services Saturday. Arrangements are with La Paz – Graham’s Funeral Home 555 West Amador Las Cruces NM, 88005.
