Obituary for Floyd A. Heckler Age 76, of Braidwood, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. Born December 5, 1941 in Paris, IL to the late Floyd Wayne and Daisy LaBelle (nee Stiner) Heckler. Floyd enjoyed reading his bible and talking to others about the bible and he also enjoyed target shooting.

Veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1963-1966. Member of the Christian Life Assembly in Diamond, IL. Surviving are his wife, Gloria (nee Rosenbower, whom he married July 10, 1966 in Marshall, IL; one son, Sherman (Erica) Heckler of Braidwood; one daughter, Angelia Heckler of Wilmington, IL; two grandchildren, Mandi (Michael) Neubauer and Andrew Heckler; one great grandchild, Landon Neubauer; and one sister, Elizabeth Helgedick of Indianapolis, IN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and step brother, Wayne (Hazel) Heckler. Family and friends will meet at the R.W. Patterson Funeral & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. to follow in procession to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for a committal service at 10:30 a.m. with full military honors. Memorial visitation will be at the Christian Life Assembly of God in Diamond, Monday, May 14 from 3-5 p.m. with a funeral dinner at 5:30 at the church.
