Obituary for Judith B. Wiersema Judith Bernice Wiersema, was born to Helen and Lawrence Wiersema, on November 7, 1939 in Grant Hospital, in Chicago Illinois. Judith departed her full and happy life peacefully on June 9, 2018 at 11:02 a.m. in her Braidwood, Illinois home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Agnes (Sekafetz) Wiersema in 1996 and her father, Lawrence Wiersema in 2000.

Judith was known as Judy to her friends and relatives and as “Grandma Shu Shu” to her grandchildren; Geoffrey III, Anna, and Adeline. To Joey, she was called “Nana” and to Lawrence, Haleigh, Josh, and Eddie she was called “Grandma Judy”, she loved whatever they called her because it was precious to them and to her. Mother of three sons, David (wife: Carmela) Spasojevich, Richard (wife: Debbie) Spasojevich, and Geoffrey, Jr. (wife: Caroline) VanDeusen.

Judy had one sister, Marilyn Kusch; and two nieces, Deborah (Howard) and Karen Kusch who was a special niece to Michael and Jeffrey Kusch. She had many friends and was loved by so many people. Details for a memorial service will be held in her honor in a few weeks, details of the service will be released soon.
