Obituary for Byron Edson Warren Byron Edson Warren Age 93, of Manteno, IL, formerly of Es, IL passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Born May 27, 1925 in Kankakee, IL to the late Orville and Hazel (nee Genshaw) Warren. Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and overseas in South Korea.

Member of the Gardner American Legion and the Es United Methodist Church. He was very active with the Lions Club and the Little Leagues in Es. Byron was a beautiful piano player and ballroom dancer.

He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and proud Chicago Cubs fan, and he was thrilled to watch them win the World Series. Surviving are his sister, Mary (the late Duane) Krieg of Kankakee, IL; and seven nieces & nephews, Alan (Sharon) Krieg of Es, Jerry (Corinne) Krieg of Bourbonnais, IL, Lynn Hartman of Bradley, IL, Cathy (Chuck) Quick of Bonfield, IL, Hazel Gadbois of Aroma Park, IL, Genelle (Jeff) Habedank of Aroma Park, and Richard (Mary Jo) Gadbois of Northbrook, IL; and many great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Gretchen and Eugene Gadbois.

Funeral services will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, IL, Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation two hours preceding services. Interment with military honors will be at North Cemetery, Es. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name to the Es Lions Club would be appreciated.
