Floyd Newsome September 27, 1930 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Floyd Newsome, 88, of Chillicothe, died Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was born September 27, 1930 in Fleming Co., KY to the late Dewey and Girlie Hall Newsome. On October 4, 1952 he married Ruth Crawford, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Andrew (Erin) Newsome, of Mt. Sterling; 6 grandchildren, Harley, Kayana, Taylor, Tyler, Damion and Auna; a brother, Russell (Mildred) Newsome, Maysville, KY; a sister, Phyllis O’Cull, Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela; two sisters, Nadean and Meredith; and a brother, Frank.

Mr. Newsome was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 25 years of service from the Pennington Baking Company. He was a member of the Bridge St. Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Glenn Anderson officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the US Army, will follow in Highlawn Memorial Gardens, Washington Court House, OH. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral at Haller’s on Saturday.
