Floyd Randall Pollard, 77, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 10:10 a.m., Saturday, July 14 2108 at La Porte Hospital. He was born February 2, 1941, in Michigan City, to Clinton and Lois (Lippert) Pollard. Floyd was a carpenter.

He enjoyed the simple life, being at home, hanging out in his garage and wood working. Floyd also loved his cat, “Scrappy”. On November 23, 1963, he married the love of his life, Fran (Glassman) Pollard, who survives.

Also surviving… Read More » are two children, Joy Burroughs of La Porte and Randy (Louise) Pollard of New Carlisle; one sister, Eileen Sanchez of Michigan City; one brother, James (Rebecca) Pollard of Salem, Alabama; two grandchildren, Jade and Ethan; and thirty-nine nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were his parents; and two sisters, Carol Rinkle and Nancy Springman. A visitation and viewing will be held from 2 – 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd.
