Wayne A Nixon, 67, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. Wayne was the youngest of 4 born in La Porte, IN, on March 23, 1951 to Raymond and Eleanor (Rush) Nixon. Surviving are his beloved children, Shaunine (Christina) Nixon of La Porte, Josh (Jacqueline) Nixon of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Anthony Stout, Kobe Nixon, Jaden Salzer, Aidan Stout, Alekzander Nixon; sister, Barb (Bob) Scalf of Michigan; brothers, Raymond (Debbie) Nixon of La Porte, Marvin (Sandy) Nixon of La Porte.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Wayne loved all sports, especially baseball. He played guitar and liked motorcycles, and enjoyed fishing.

He was a dedicated hard worker for Accurate Castings starting at age 18 and he retired in 2017. Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM (CT) on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Roger Ash officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM (CT) until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Shaunine and Josh Nixon, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN 46350. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.
