Franc Pomeroy “Danny” Daniels Jr. died peacefully in his sleep at his home on September 30 in Bemidji, Minnesota at the age of 88. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Rose officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Franc was born on April 2nd, 1930 in Minneapolis to Franc Sr. and Marion Brimhall Daniels.

He married Janet Lucille Hansen in 1950. The couple lived in Long Lake, Minnesota until 1961, when they moved with their 4 children, Steven, Gary, Susan and Brian to Rockford, Minnesota. Franc and Janet also welcomed several foster children while in Rockford, including brothers Allan and Frank Zdarsky.

Just prior to moving to Shevlin, Minnesota in 1970, they were joined by their 5th child, Marion Olivia in 1969, followed shortly thereafter by their 6th child, Sara Kay, born after arriving in Shevlin. Franc was an inventor, entrepreneur and businessman. He held several patents for his various inventions.

He loved outdoor sports and activities. Franc enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, swimming, scuba diving, hockey, motorcycles, and horseback riding. He was a licensed private pilot, owning a variety of small airplanes over the years, flying for both work and pleasure.

Franc is survived by sons, Steve (Kate) Daniels, Gary (Mary) Daniels and Brian (Liz) Daniels; daughters, Susan Skadsem, Marion O’Neill and Sara (Todd) Wille ;19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and sister, Nell Cochran. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet of 59 years, 1 foster son, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Randy Skadsem and 1 sister. Online guestbook at www.
