Obituary for Frances Halford Eledge Frances Halford Eledge, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at her home. Born May 19, 1924, in Lyman, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter James and Emma Gibbs Halford and widow of J. Lester Eledge. An avid golfer and great cook, Mrs. Eledge was kind and generous to everyone.

She was a member of St. Francis Anglican Church. Surviving are her sister, Geri Halford Palmer of Cincinnati, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, James, Dewey, and Roy Halford; and two sisters, Ruth Campbell and Juanita Hopkins.

A cryptside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd. , Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Robert Brown.

Visitation will follow at the cryptside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Glaucoma Foundation, 80 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038. An online guest register is available at www.
