Obituary for Frances Laverne Phillips Laverne Vaughn Phillips of Fultondale, AL passed away on April 10, 2018 at age 84. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Phillips; two children, Vicki Lais of Birmingham, AL and Ramsey (Sarah) Phillips of Mobile, AL; two grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Phillips of Hawaii and Brittany Phillips of Mobile, AL; five great grandchildren, Ava Boyles, McKenna Phillips, Callen Phillips, Kyndall Parker, and Rowan Phillips; sisters, Marietta Vaughn, Mavis Carmichael of FL, Carol Harris of TN; brother Gerald Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Lais; her parents, Webster Vaughn and Vivian Vaughn; siblings, Nezalee Thomas, Ruby Nell Doyle, Edsel Wayne Vaughn, Tom Vaughn, Jack Vaughn and Ken Vaughn.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. Burial will be at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Frances Laverne Phillips please visit our Sympathy Store.
