Frances Marie (Byrd) Batts, age 84, went home to her Father on Sunday, April 7, 2019. She passed away at Unity Hospital. She was born June 2, 1934 in Helena, Arkansas to Marvin Martin Byrd and Mary Magdalene Brantley Byrd.

She graduated from Helena High School in Helena Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Poop Deck, of 64 years. She was also preceded by her parents, Marvin and Maggie Byrd; two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by six children, Janet Oakes (Johnny), Edward Batts (Earlene), Ann Carter (Delton), Mitchell Batts (Karen-deceased), Michael Batts (Tracy), and Michelle Dixon (Kevin); 18 grandchildren, Dustin, Lance and Josh Oakes, Rocky Batts, Ashleigh Sparks, Robert and Jake Robison, Christopher Deen, Mitchell Batts, Jr., Garren Batts, Jarred Batts, Amanda Batts, Jason Chambers, Matthew Chambers, Sarah Whitmarsh, Kenny Isom, John Luke Dixon and Frances Abigail Dixon; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two brothers and two sisters; and multiple loving nieces and nephews. Frances was a member of Saint James Catholic Church. She loved her family and the outdoors.

A Rosary will be conducted April 11th at 10 a.m. and funeral Mass at 11 a.m. All services will be held at St. James Catholic Church of Searcy Cremation arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
