Frances Marie’s Obituary Frances Marie McEvoy passed away on February 7, 2019, at the age of 90. She was born October 26, 1928, in New Braunfels, Texas to the late Ignatius and William McEvoy. She is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth “Bette” Hoelscher and her brother, William “Timmy” McEvoy and her cat, Patches.

Frances was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt, who is survived by her niece and nephews, Margaret “Peggy” Glisson, Bill Hoelscher, Keith Hoelscher, Christopher Hoelscher, Jon Paul Hoelscher, and Michael McEvoy. Also by her great-nieces and nephews, Jeron Hoelscher, Nathan Hoelscher, Brianna Hoelscher, Claire Hoelscher, Bridget Glisson, Hudson Hoelscher, and Elizabeth Hoelscher. Frances started working for the Southwestern Bell Phone Company at 19 years of age, retiring 40 years later.

Frances was a devout Catholic, who dedicated many years of service to the Corpus Christi Cathedral Altar Society and to the Schoenstatt Movement. She was loved and will be missed. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2019 at Corpus Christi Cathedral with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
