Francis (Bink) Harrell Parris October 24, 1926 – February 04, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Francis (Bink) Parris Gaffney, SC – Francis Harrell Parris, 92, formerly of 1107 Draytonville Road, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Martha Dorman Parris and son of the late William David Parris and Annie Mae Stroup Parris. He was formerly employed by A. P. McCauley and retired from Distinctive Molding.

He was a U.S. World War II veteran and a member of the Cherokee County Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. He was a member of Draytonville Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Church Clerk. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Parris Queen and her husband, Dalon of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Margaret Anne Queen and W. J. Queen; three sisters, Betty P. Deal of Anderson, SC, Peggy P. Morgan of Georgetown, SC and Miriam P. Clayton and husband, Jack of Hopkins, SC; a brother-in-law, Carroll Spangler of Shelby, NC; a sister-in-law, Miriam Parris of Sellersburg, IN; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David S. (Bud) Parris, Billy Stroup Parris and Roy Parris and a sister, Shirley P. Spangler. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Martin Hogg officiating.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Draytonville Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Harrill officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Draytonville Baptist Church, 179 Draytonville Church Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at the home of Dalon and Ruth Queen, 1330 Robbs School Road, Gaffney, SC 29341. An online guest register is available at www. blakelyfuneralhome.com.
