Frank Fiore Vittorio Purrachio Jr. West Aliquippa Frank Fiore Vittorio Purrachio, Jr. was blessed to be 90 years old at his death on February 18, 2019. He was born January 27, 1929, and recently celebrated a wonderful 90th birthday party with his family and friends. Frank was born in Aliquippa and was the son of the late Frank and Rosario Purrachio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose (Mannino) Purrachio; two sisters, Rose Johnston and Josephine Purrachio; and a brother, John Purrachio. Frank was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and The Panther Club, West Aliquippa.

Frank was devoted to the Aliquippa Fire Department where he volunteered for 65 years. He was recently honored for his long-time service by the volunteers at the fire department. Frank was an avid gardener since childhood; he truly loved his garden.

Family and friends would visit for hours talking about his garden, reminiscing about the “good ol’ days” at J&L Steelworks and West Aliquippa. Frank also enjoyed fixing lawnmowers and relished in making wine. He is survived by his devoted children, Toni Purrachio and Frank Purrachio; a brother, Fiore Purrachio, New Jersey; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m. in the ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME INC. , 2026 McMinn St., Aliquippa, 724-375-0496. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, time will be announced in Wednesday’s paper.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Purrachio family would like to thank Allegheny Health Network Hospice, Aspire Nurses and Drs.
