Mary Ann (Chabala) Dobias, 89 of Baden, PA died Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born December 8, 1929 in West Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Michael Chabala, Sr. and Helen Chabala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dobias, Sr. in June of 1995 and her brother, Michael Chabala in November 1998.

Mary Ann retired from Jones & Laughlin & LTV where she was employed in the Tin Mill Office. She also worked as a switchboard operator at Sewickley Valley Hospital. Mary Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Ambridge, and an active member of the Pastoral Affairs Committee and the Rosary Society.

She was also a board member and past president of the Beaver County Humane Society. She is survived by two step children: Michael Dobias, Hamilton, Ohio, and Stephan Dobias and wife Lisa. Four grandchildren, Roxie, Daniel, Stephanie, Celeste from Inola, Oklahoma.

In addition, she is survived by a sister, Jeanie Zaiden, North Hills, Sister in law, Gladys Chabal, Brighton Township, and a brother and sister in-law: John R. Chabala and Peggy Duker – Chabala, McKinney, Texas. Nieces and nephews, Teresa Pickens, David Chabala, Marilyn Bonaparte, Candace Zaiden, Rick Zaiden. Friends will be received Monday from 3-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, 15001 (724) 375-0496.

A service will be held Tuesday in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by A Divine Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 am in St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, Aliquippa with The Rt. Rev. Msg.

Russel A Duker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to the Beaver County Humane Society 3394 Broadhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
