Frank’s Obituary Frank Otto Luckert Frank was born on April 20, 1931, on a farm near Edson, Kansas, to the late Fredrick Luckert and Emma (Held) Luckert. He passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. Frank attended schools at Edson through his sophomore year of high school and graduated from Nickerson High School.

In 1952, he joined the Army during the Korean War. He was in the Signal Corps and was stationed in Germany. After the war, he worked in the oil fields while saving money to buy a farm.

He married Judith Lea Saddler in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, on June 1, 1963. He and Judy bought a farm in Norton, Kansas, where they farmed for the next 43 years. Frank loved the land and loved farming.

His hobby was going to auctions and riding his bike. In the summer of 2006, he and Judy moved into Norwich after retiring from farming. Shortly after moving, they joined the Norwich United Methodist Church.

Frank is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Kristy (Gary) Snyder, Daniel Luckert and Andrew Luckert; grandchildren, Joshua (Chelsea) Snyder, Jonathan (Brittne) Snyder, Madison (Walker) Hinkle, Meagan and Olivia Luckert; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Will and Annie Snyder, Ayden and Asher Hinkle; siblings, Frieda (Elmer) Roberts, Grace Pyles, Beaulah Barbosa and Ernest Luckert. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George, William and Charles Luckert; sisters, Florene, Marie and Viola Luckert. Visitation, 6 pm – 8 pm, Tuesday, February 5, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

Funeral Service, 10 am, Wednesday, February 6, at United Methodist Church, 623 E. Burns in Norwich, KS. Interment at 1:45 pm at Highland Cemetery in Medicine Lodge, KS. Memorials established with Amedysis Foundation, 250 W. Douglas, S-110, Wichita, KS 67202 and Family Health & Rehabilitation Daisy House, 639 S. Maize Ct.
