Obituary of Frank Buell Jr. Frank Birney Buell, Jr. April 26, 1954 – June 5, 2018 Frank Birney Buell, Jr., 64, of Ashburn, VA, passed away peacefully at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA on June 5, 2018, with his wife, daughters, brothers, family and friends present. Frank was born in Stafford Springs, CT on April 26, 1954 to Nancie Elizabeth (Flanders) and Frank Birney Buell. Frank married his high school sweetheart, Pam, in October 1973.

Eleven years later they had twin daughters, Jessica and Sarah. Frank was a man who had an unending love for his family and was very strong in his faith. He had many joys in life and loved spending time with his family making treasured memories.

He especially adored being BopBop to his four granddaughters. Truly one of a kind, Frank had a caring, generous and uplifting spirit, always seeing the positive and finding the bright side. He truly enjoyed his life.

A proud Eagle Scout, Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force in September 1972. He was a dedicated IRS agent and retired after 36 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pamela; his daughters, Jessica Jones (Robert) and Sarah Dyson (Evan); granddaughters, Adelyn, Faith, Gracie and Alyssa; brothers, Scott Buell (Jackie), Stephen Buell (Rita) and several in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will welcome friends at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA on June 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held June 12 at 10:30 AM at Galilee United Methodist Church, 45425 Winding Road, Sterling, VA 20165, with Pastor Jason Duley officiating. A private burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations or memorial contributions may be sent to Galilee United Methodist Church.
