Pisgah United Pentecostal Church 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church in Leakesville for Mr. Fred Dixon, age 72, of Lucedale. Bro.

Karl Causey, Richard Fleming, and Bro. Jeffery Lee will officiate, with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Simpson, Phillip Parker, Andy Howell, Michael Serrano, Cas Steede and Jonathan Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be John Wayne Welford, Willie Hall, Jimmy Welford, Roger McLeod and Arvil Duiett. Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mae Dixon.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dixon; 3 children, Kenny (Janie) Dixon of Leakesville, Sherry (Jimmy) Dearman of Leakesville, and Tracie (Jeff) Ladnier of Bayou La Batre, AL; 7 grandchildren, Michael (Daniel) Parker, Dana Clement, Leann (Timmy) Fallon, Mark (Nancy) Dixon, Jake (Regina) Helton, Jay Ladnier and Jackson Ladnier; 4 siblings, Marvin (Doris) Dixon, Sylvia Gardner, Sara (Carl) Persinger, and Lora (Steve) Mitchell; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dixon was an active member of Mt Pisgah United Pentecostal Church for over 30 years. He worked for International Paper Company for many years, then Flor Daniels, and finally, worked as an equipment operator for Greene County Beat 4.

He loved sports, hunting and fishing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Mt Pisgah United Pentecostal Church. Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton was in charge of the arrangements.
