Freda Annette Ashford Maxwell age 70 passed away at her residence in Altamont. She was born to her parents the late John and Maggie Bell Johnson Ashford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, James Ashford, Owen Ashford, Wayne Ashford, and Jerry Ashford; sister-in-law, May Ashford.

She was a homemaker and a member of The Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Maxwell of Altamont; children, Vincet Maxwell of Mississippi, Brenda (Nelson) Kerby of Alabama, Chris (Holly) Maxwell of Belvidere, TN, Steven (Kari) Maxwell of Winchester; grandchildren, Kirk Maxwell, Megan (BJ) Miller, Amanda Patrick, Tristan Maxwell, Vlad Maxwell, Hunter Maxwell, Kaden Maxwell, and Chase Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Heath, Adam, Adalynn, Huck, Luke, Granger; sister, Mildred Murphy; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 4:PM Wednesday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro.

Leonard Herman officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 10:AM until the time off the service at 4:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
