Kathryn Ann Patterson Matuszewski of Hendersonville and a native of DeKalb County, passed away Monday 7/09/18. Born April 25, 1940 to the late Joe Robert and Juanita Maxwell Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Patterson.

Kathryn was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader, enjoyed writing and wrote over 1,000 sonnetts. She was a member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church for over 40 years and devoted housewife and mother. Ms. Kathryn leaves to cherish her memory, 2 children, Rhonda (James) Calhoun of Hendersonville, Randall Matuszewski of Goodlettsville; 2 grandchildren, Haydn Michelle Calhoun and Elizabeth Nichole Matuszewski; 2 brothers, Mack Patterson of Springfield and Kim Patterson of Murfreesboro; 1 sister, Judy Bakken of Greenbrier.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Saturday July 14, 2018 at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Chapel with Bro. Ray Cleek officiating. Burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery at 3:30PM.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:PM at the Church chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Homebound Meals, 381 West Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075, in memory of Ms. Kathryn. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
