Jessica Lee Hobbs age 33 of Smithville, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 8, 2018 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was born January 26, 1985 to her parents, Jerry Lee and Judy Hendrixson Johnson. Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilson and Emm Lee Johnson, Carmon and Louise Hendrixson and Martha Caldwell.

She worked at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital as a Radiographer/X-ray Technician and she loved animals. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Joshua Hobbs of Smithville; son, Bentlee Hobbs of Smithville; mother, Judy Johnson of Smithville; Father, Jerry “Buckwheat” Johnson of Smithville; brother, Chad Johnson of Smithville; 5 nieces and nephews, Brantley, Makira, Emma, Aspen and Carmon Johnson; special cousin, Trista Ashburn. Funeral services celebrating Jessica’s life will be 1:PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Randy Gregory and Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 11:AM until 8:PM and Wednesday 9:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
