G. Dorme “Old Man” Shellhammer, 67, of Ford City passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 2, 2018. He was born February 16, 1951 and the son of the late Lester (Dorothy Erb) Shellhammer. Dorme was a veteran of the United States Army and spent most of his lifetime working and living on the family farm.

He raised five sons and many of their neighborhood friends. His door was always open to anyone who needed a helping hand. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Deborah Shellhammer, two brothers McKee and Clair Shellhammer, a sister Catherine Kline, a brother in-law Carlos Correa, and a grandson Levi Shellhammer. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm at The Janette L.
