Coats, NC: Mr. Garland “Buck” Otho Watkins, age 77, died Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his step-daughter’s residence. Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Coats United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev.

Paul Cecil with military honors. Mr. Watkins was born November 2, 1940 in Wake County to the late Otho Mod and Erma Thompson Watkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Grimes Watkins.

Mr. Watkins was in the insurance business before retirement, a veteran of the US Navy and also a member of Coats United Methodist Church. Surviving include step-daughter and husband, Marilyn and Charles Ennis of Coats; step-granddaughter, Andrea Ennis Roberson and step-great grandson, Zachary Charles Roberson both of Coats; sisters, Margie Jones of Raleigh and Catherine Faulkner of Wendell and very special friend, Evelyn “Teeny” Upchurch; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Marilyn and Charles Ennis, 93 Wilds Wind Drive, Coats, NC 27521.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coats Senior Center, P.O. Box 366, Coats, NC 27521.
