Obituary for Garrett Ryan Ozark Garrett Ryan Ozark, age 34, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018, due to complications of cardiac arrest at St. Mary’s of Michigan. He has been set free from his lengthy battle with mental illness and addiction here on earth. We are comforted in the belief that he is reunited with his beloved Grandma Marie and together they share a room in God’s heavenly home.

Garrett was born August 11, 1984, in Saginaw, Michigan to his parents, Dawn Ozark and Brian Gamez. In his late teens, he was also blessed with a loving stepfather, Daniel McKune. Garrett had a lifelong faith in God and a deep love for his family.

He will be dearly missed by those who loved him. In addition to his parents, Garrett is survived by his siblings, Brianna Gamez, Cody and Courtney Gamez Frost, and Colin, Brendan (Laikyn), and Tristan McKune; his grandmother, Bonnie Ozark; aunts and uncles, Terri (Alfredo) Poletti, Julie (Scott) Roskelly, Aaron (Toya) Ozark, Justin Ozark, Cathy (Rick) Jones, Sherry Watkins, Mary (Larry) Chapin, and Danny (Melissa) Ruppel. Garrett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Marie Ozark, Sue Ann Seaton, and Robert Gamez.

Visitation and Memorial Service will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Fr.

Jack Johnson will officiate. A private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. Garrett’s family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff at St. Mary’s of Michigan Cardiac ICU Trauma unit, especially Dr. Samer Kais, nurses Jan and Abby, and Chaplain Tim.
