Gary Bernard VanDensen, 66, died peacefully Friday January 25, 2019 at his residence, after a brief illness. He was born in Neenah on July 2, 1952, son of the late Bernard and Ingeborg (Krueger) VanDensen. Gary served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea at the DMZ from 1972-1974.

He worked for Lamers Bus Lines Inc. as a school bus driver. He enjoyed seeing “his” kids every day. Gary was the owner of H.A. Automotive.

He enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was boating, hunting, fishing, SCUBA diving, skiing, or just enjoying a few cold beverages. Gary is survived by his sister, Sandra (Bruce) Miller, Appleton; and his two brothers: David, Fox Crossing, and Shawn, Appleton; and two nephews: Eric Miller and Joe VanDensen. He was further preceded in death by a nephew, Marc Maslow.

A Celebration for Gary will be held this Saturday February 2, 2019 at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1130 W Marquette Street, Appleton from 2:00 until 4:00PM.
