BARBERTON—Gary Edward Floyd, 66, passed away quietly from this life on April 21, 2018. Born in Barberton, the second of three children to the late William and Joan (Stocker) Floyd, Gary lived most of his life here in the Barberton-Kenmore area. After graduating from BHS in 1971, Gary served in the US Army from March 1972 through October 1985.

He settled near Tacoma, Washington with his growing family, returning to Barberton in the mid 1990’s. Gary worked for a number of years at B&C Research Inc. as a machinist building automotive wheels. Gary is survived by his wife Doris (Anderson) Floyd; daughters Alisha Floyd and Shannon (Chad) Tisch; son Gary William Floyd; brother Michael (Denise) Floyd; sister Kathi (Jim) Keifer; and his grandchildren Justin, Alex and Nathan.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Burial will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
