Gary Floyd Alexander, age 78, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home in Luthersville surrounded by family. He was born on September 24, 1940 in Atlanta, GA to the late Hugh Fisher Alexander and Mary Pitts Alexander. The funeral service celebrating the life Gary lived is Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 9 AM until service time at the funeral home. Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Bolton Alexander; children, Chad Alexander, Chase Alexander and his wife Tiffany, David Alexander and his wife Jackie; grandson, Cody; brother, Larry Alexander and his wife Madelyn. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Gary’s name to the Meriwether Animal Shelter, 263 Mc Laughlin Rd, Greenville, GA 30222.
