Gary R. Heskey, 66, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept.

5, 1951 in Greensburg, a son of Margaret A. (Hudock) Heskey, of Hunker, and the late Robert P. Heskey. Gary was a 1969 graduate of Hempfield Area High School, then received his B.S. in Education from Indiana University of Pa. Prior to retirement, he worked at Latrobe Specialty Steel.

He was a member of Kecksburg VFD club, United Slovak Club, Little Sewickley Sportsmens and New Baltimore Sportsmens clubs, and attended Word of Life Ministries, Greensburg. Gary loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors, especially time spent at the Brush Creek Country Club in Fairhope with his close friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and granddogs, and was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gail I. (Dickson) Heskey; four children, W. Neil Guzy, and Greg E. Guzy and his wife, Heather, all of Mt. Pleasant, Corrianne G. Newcomer and husband, Lee, of Scottdale, and Patrick Robert Heskey and wife, Maria, of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Sophia Madison and Isaiah Paul Guzy, Claire Monroe Newcomer, and Everly Rose and Colton Robert Heskey; brother, Donald Heskey (Shirley); sister, Pamela Cheregosha (Bahram); sisters and brother-in-law, Marsha Cochenour (Robin), Maureen Harvan (Tim), Lisa Ulishney (Bob), Amy Kiel (Mike), Chuck Dickson (Cathy); and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC.

, 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kecksburg Volunteer Fire Department, 5128 Water St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666.
