Gayla’s Obituary Gayla June Taylor was born June 4, 1954, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Clarence and Nora (Jones) Klaassen and passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Bell Avenue Nursing Center in Elk City, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 12 days. Gayla was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1973. On May 24, 1978, she married Hugh Taylor in Weatherford and raised their family here.

They moved to Elk City in 2010. Gayla enjoyed playing board games, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. Gayla is survived by two sons, Michael Taylor of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Travis Taylor of Wayne, Oklahoma; one brother, Clarence Klaassen, Jr. and wife, Pat of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Betty McCray; and niece, Jennifer McCray.
