Gena Marguerite Edwards, 59, Martinsville, passed away June 29, 2018. Gena was born January 2, 1959, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Vern Ray and Marguerite (Smith) Edwards. Gena graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia in 1976.

An incredibly talented artist, Gena was known for her acrylic painting. She worked for 20 years as a makeup artist at retail stores including Dillard’s, JCPenney, and J.B. White. She also enjoyed tap dancing for many years.

Gena loved holidays,… Read More » but especially Halloween and Christmas, which allowed her an opportunity to utilize her seamstress abilities by creating elaborate costumes. A caring, loving, and very generous person, Gena will be fondly remembered for her bubbly personality. Survivors include her significant other and “Handsome Prince”, Chris Fox of Martinsville; one sister, Lynda Rae Edwards of Columbia, South Carolina.
