Obituary for Gene Powell Moss Smyrna — Mr. Gene Powell Moss, 81, of 4921 Canaan Church Road, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at his home. Born in Clover, he was the husband of Faye Harris Moss and the son of the late Clyde Lee Moss Sr. and Estelle Dickson Moss. Gene previously worked as a welder with Westinghouse and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Moss is survived by two daughters, Sheila Mathis and husband, Roger, and Nikki Yarborough and husband, Lee, all of Gaffney; one son, Craig Moss, of Smyrna; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Parsons and husband, Bryan, Connor Yarborough, Regan Yarborough, and Abbie Moss; and two great-grandchildren, Laikynn Parsons and Waylon Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Todd Moss, and a brother, Clyde Lee Moss Jr. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 26th of December, 2018, from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be private.
